Thank you for taking the time to get to know my practice. I am a licensed mental health counselor located on Bainbridge Island, Washington. I am a board certified registered art therapist regulated by ATCB.
Psychotherapeutic process is a devotional practice to learn to recognize, and embrace the multifaceted, incongruent aspects of one's personality with humility and compassion. It is a collaborative process between a patient and a psychotherapist through which both of those who enter into an agreed therapeutic relational vessel are profoundly transformed together. In Jungian-based psychotherapy, the symptoms of psychological, emotional, and physical ailments are understood to be important communications from one's depth to offer a guidance to live life in accordance with one's own unique and true nature. Suffering can awaken one's habitual perceptions and behaviors to consciously examine and evaluate how to direct one's flow of life with the heartfelt intentions from within.
Dreamwork, art making, yoga, expressive writing, myths/fairytales, and psychological astrology are some of the therapeutic modalities that I integrate with a traditional verbal psychotherapy. The multi-modal therapeutic approach encourages the creative imagination of my patients to discover, connect, and become more fully themselves each day. I strive to hold a nonjudgmental, nourishing, relational space for the unfoldment of my patients. The aim of the analytic psychotherapy, also known as Jungian based psychotherapy practice is to support my patients in recognizing and honoring their unique limitations and gifts-their true nature. Vitalizing one's playful curiosity and spontaneity, I believe, is essential to create the meaningful, resonant narrative of one's life based on the particular grains of the individual soulful nature.
For the past several years, I have been actively engaged in studying C.G. Jung's Collected Works related to alchemical studies through Jung Society of Washington study group. I am also continuing with Jung Society Reading Seminars facilitated by various Analytic psychoanalysts to deepen my understanding of Analytic psychology. In 2026 October, I begin as a training candidate at C.G. Jung Institute, Zurich.
I am a voracious reader of wide range of subjects that support my lifelong pursuit of understanding the mysteries of life and the human nature. More I learn, more I feel humbled by the realization of how little I know. I value learning with humility and patience. This very same attitude I bring to my therapeutic space to appreciate the depths of each individual's unique history and nature. In my playtime, I enjoy hiking with my two Bernese mountain dogs, doodling, and various fiber arts.
